What is the Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative?
K&L Gates, in conjunction with law enforcement, founded the Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative to (1) identify members of the LGBTQ+ community in Western Pennsylvania who may be victims of human trafficking and (2) connect victims (or potential victims and/or individuals who know of victims) to law enforcement to help sex trafficking victims. Though the Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative was designed to identify LGBTQ+ victims, a historically underserved community, K&L Gates will do its best to help all victims of sex trafficking, regardless of sexual orientation and/or identity.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative’s mission is to serve a resource for victims of sex trafficking to help educate them and allow them to receive the protections they are afforded under the Constitution.
